It consists in placing trenching barrels into the soil. The barrels are designed to cut and mix soil, using specialised blades, with injected bentonite/cement grout. This method generates overlapping panels of specified length and width and designed depth which, combined, form a continuous anti-filtration partition. Due to precision of the equipment CSM, quite like CDMM, prevents occurrence of filtration windows.
The CSM Method is increasingly used for soil ground reinforcement with cement grouts, in an extent similar to DSM Columns.
